I would like to talk more about Suzanna's role in Startasia.
Original Setting: Startasia: A Star Fox Self Insert Fancomic
As Suzanna was originally a unnamed 18+ year old female self insert in her past life (Maria's) Star Fox fancomic, the original Suzanna did not have any personality, hobbies and interests. Her hair and eye color were never depicted in the fancomic script so, the fans were free to imagine what would her hair and eye color looked like and were also free to imagine what role their self inserts have in the Star Fox universe.
Reincarnated Setting: Reincarnated as the Younger Adopted Sister of The Star Fox Leader
Maria's preferences for her self insert OC's hair and eye color were cloudy blue hair and gray eyes and named her OC as Suzanna. It would explained why Maria was reincarnated as Suzanna with the same hair and eye colors and name. Maria also imagined her self insert as Fox's younger adoptive sister, so she was reincarnated as Suzanna McCloud.
By the time Startasia would start, Suzanna would be 18 years old and Fox would be 24 years old. During the Lylat Wars (The event in Star Fox 64), Suzanna was 12 and Fox was 18. Pretty much, Suzanna stayed out of the wars thanks to General Pepper's protection. She has no idea that her biological younger twin brother would have a small role in the wars but that would be his story to tell in his perspective in the second part of the AU: The Star. Suzanna would not have no idea she had a twin brother until in the later events of the AU.
I haven't decided if Fox's mother, Vixy, would still be alive in Startasia. If Vixy was still alive, Suzanna would have a closer relationship with Vixy than Fox since Vixy would be estranged from her own son cuz of reasons. We all know what happens to James McCloud so Suzanna would be very depressed and sad at first cuz of her adoptive father never returned from his mission. (She was around 7 and Fox was 13 when James disappeared / got killed / got stuck in a blackhole / whatever)
The age gap between Suzanna and Fox is 6 years apart. After James's disappearances, Fox would help Peppy with raising Suzanna. Darn, I would like to think Fox would become very protective of Suzanna. No shit. He lost his father (and probably his mother) and does not want to lose the only (Non-blood) relative he has left to whoever is the next threat (Could it be Andross again cuz the dude doesn't stay dead lmao or maybe his nephew, Andrew, would be the new antagonist or someone new (A villain/villainess OC of mine) to the lylat system.
Suzanna may or may not know about Star Wolf cuz Fox doesn't tell her about the battles and enemies he faced in other planets. Heck, I think Fox and Peppy would not tell her who was responsible for her adoptive father's diappearance out of fear that she may go after the enemy or get taken as a hostage by Star Wolf.
End of Startasia thoughts
Everything I've said in this blog post and in the future Star AU thoughts posts is subject to change. Part of me wants to get rid of the whole past life/isekai/reincarnation idea and stick to OC-focused Star Fox AU fanfic and also fanwritten in perspectives of Star Fox characters and OCs. Currently, Startasia is fanwritten in Suzanna's perspective.
Ehhh. I guess what is what fanfic development is about, right?
